Activated carbon cloth — also called activated carbon fabric or ACF cloth — and the matching felt. We spin, carbonize and steam-activate the fiber ourselves, so this is not carbon powder glued onto fabric. Roll goods or die-cut to your drawing.

Pore volume 0.8–1.2 ml/g · mean pore 17–20 Å · pH 5–7 · ignition >500 °C. A third-party report measures our ACF felt at iodine 1238 mg/g — a result we can hand over, not a claim.
Why fiber, not granules
Pores open at the surface
Over 90% of pore volume is micropore, most of it opening directly on the fiber — no long channel to travel first.
A third the resistance
Low bulk density and roughly one third the airflow resistance of granular carbon, so a thinner layer does the same job.
Strong on mercaptans
Adsorbs sulfur and amine compounds several to tens of times more than granular carbon — exactly what fecal odor is.
ACF is not the default answer for every pet odor job. It costs more than filter cotton, and ammonia is where zeolite does the work instead. We will tell you when a cheaper build is the right one.
Formats
- Viscose ACF felt — needle felt, monofilament 10–20 μm, strength >5 kg/m, 0.8–4.5 mm, ash <2%
- ACF cloth — plain or twill, 900–1200 m²/g, 80–350 g/m²
- Knitted ACF pad — 120 gsm die-cut pads, the format used in litter boxes
- Die-cut and laminated shapes — bonded onto foam, HEPA or non-woven as one part
Flame-retardant and medical-grade variants available. Used mostly in enclosed pet products and air modules where the layer must stay thin.
